Optimizing with innovative methods – such as AI!

The efficient use of knowledge, especially in the field of the technology landscape, is an important competence for the future. The complexity of the general technology landscape continues to increase at high speed, across all industries worldwide. Technology management that is firmly anchored in the company and at best set up can help keep pace with these dynamic developments.

Well-structured technology databases can help to manage the enormously growing amount of important data in the area of technological innovation in order to identify relevant developments at an early stage and to derive the need for action from them, and this also in particular for solutions to technical problems.

With the abundance of information and rapid updates, it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with purely manual means. This is where innovative methods such as AI approaches can support, which can quickly derive current and relevant insights for the company from the huge amounts of data from the various development paths of technologies to ensure the completeness and timeliness of the database and thus gain a competitive advantage.
In my latest experience report, I present the methodical evolution that AI-supported technology management has taken at its current stage of development. This publication was created through a co-authoring process between me as a human expert and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Following two prior publications (2021/23) that focused on enhancing Technological Intelligence through AI tools, I am now releasing my latest whitepaper titled Development of Support Methods for Technological Intelligence: Capabilities of Next-Generation Large Language Models (Chatbots). This whitepaper examines the impact of the latest chatbots on Technological Intelligence, as well as the pressure that the successful deployment of next-generation LLMs exerts on the future relevance of technology databases and foresight services.
Progress assessment of search algorithms in the technology space

In our publication (cf. News March 2021), we had given as an outlook, among other things, to follow the development of powerful search algorithms with regard to their ability to answer questions about partial technologies and their links as precisely as possible from very large data sets and here in particular from the technology space. In this way, it should be more feasible to populate technology profiles at the lowest technology level.
With the publication of Chat GPT, a new situation has arisen, which raises the question of how Chat GPT compares to other software systems of companies listed in our publication for the same questions in the technology space.
We will powerfully pursue this question!
